Go Bike Trip
It all started in 2009 as an experimental side project. The main goal was to track bicycle rides with smartphones and share adventures. At the time the best I could find was sending image text messages to blogger to create mini blog posts. Since then smartwatches and other apps have this type of functionality built in. I use a smartwatch now to track my rides and other activities. It’s much more convenient. I remember draining the battery on my phone several times recording the different routes. At one point I even had battery backups mounted on my bike with Velcro to charge the phone while riding.
The cost of maintaining the project surpassed its value. If anyone would like to export their data please let me know. I’ll keep a backup of the project archived.
