Route Line Flashing
Issue:
Once in a while we've noticed that the route line will appear to be flashing as we ride.
Possible fix / work around:
Until we find a solid solution it seems to go away after zooming in and out / around.
GPS Track Jumps
Issue:
The GPS track sometimes jumps or snaps onto nearby roads whether you are on them or not. Though the jumps are usually pretty small, this is a known issue and is quite annoying at times.
Possible fix / work around:
Make sure your device is updated to the latest version. In iOS check settings - general - software update. We are keeping a close eye on this behavior and are working on advanced algorithms to help prevent this from happening, or at least smooth out some of the bumps. In the end the track accuracy will be limited to the devices ability. Please let us know if you have any suggestion or feedback on this issue.
Other notes:
The trend seems to be a lot worse on the Verizon iPhone -- Tracks from the ATT iPhone are more accurate than those from Verizon. Tests were conducted by two different riders on the same ride at the same time. There is one overpass nearby that almost always causes this to happen (Broadway overpass).
